As an NWACC student or employee, you can seek free personal counseling services at the college for a myriad of reasons, such as assistance with general mental health counseling, career counseling, domestic abuse, sexual assault, substance abuse and recovery support, community resource assistance and more.
辅导员 at NWACC's 戴尔蒙哥马利咨询与健康中心 are trained to be supportive, relate to others and be sensitive to your background and life experience. Counseling can offer a safe, non-judgmental place to process emotions, learn how to address issues, and how to manage and cope with varying life circumstances.

View the frequently asked questions and answers below to learn more about NWACC's counseling services for students and employees.
- An opportunity to eliminate barriers that may be interfering with your success at NWACC.
There are often many life stressors that college students encounter (e.g., moving, change in financial situation, new found independence, balancing demands of parenting/school/work). If you are beginning to feel stressed or overwhelmed, make an appointment to talk with a counselor. Any information that you share with a counselor is confidential (this information cannot be shared with anyone without your written consent).
辅导员 are trained to assist students in identifying, understanding, and developing skills to solve your personal problems. One of the major goals is to provide you with skills so that you are more capable of solving future problems on your own.
Center is prepared to assist students and employees who are in crisis (e.g., suicidal thoughts, anger management problems). However, the counselors are not available 24 hours per day. As such, if there is a crisis during off hours, we recommend that you call the local crisis line 988, 911, or go to a local emergency room.
Services are free to students enrolled in the current academic semester and current employees.
Center currently offers services by both telehealth and in-person appointments. While some prefer in-person sessions, others find telehealth sessions to be very convenient for their schedule.
