In NWACC's geology courses, you'll study the e一定啊, its interior and exterior surface, rocks and other materials, and the processes that have formed these materials. 地质 can overlap other sciences, math and engineering.

NWACC's geology courses can be transferred to a four-year institution and be applied toward general education requirements and a bachelor's 地质或地球科学专业毕业。 Furthering your education by pursuing a master's degree or a Ph.D. can also open up additional opportunities and improve your income potential. By pursuing an education in geology, you may find employment opportunities in areas such as e采掘(石油、天然气和采矿)nvironmental (monitoring soil, water and air quality), geotechnical (site assessment, geohazards), government (USGS, state surveys) and education.
In addition, many geologists work as private consultants in one or more of the above fields. Common job titles include exploration geophysicist, hydrogeologist, environmental engineer, volcanologist, seismologist and engineering geologist.
