Brightwater, a 正规博彩平台 program, is inviting the community to support its two-day food truck to raise money for a good cause.

The cause, “Cooking with Cops,” is a program developed in Chicago by Officer Delbert Howell and Brightwater’s Executive Director, Marshall Shafkowitz. The goal of the program is to establish a fruitful relationship and reduce the bias between youth and the police by allowing them to create meals together.

“Since 2019 Healthy Plates with the Police – Cooking with Cops” has served over 4000 youths and Chicago Police Officers from the South Side,” said Shafkowitz. “It has been an honor to partner with the Fayetteville Public 图书馆 and the Fayetteville Police Department to bring this program to Northwest Arkansas. The power of sharing a meal and building relationships through shared experiences can change the way we look at the world around us. I can’t thank David Johnson and Chief Mike Rodgers enough for saying yes.”

The students from Brightwaters Events Catering Course will cook and sell delicious, customizable loaded dishes, including vegan, vegetarian, and meat-friendly items such as baked potatoes and Mac' n cheese, prepared by students in the Events Catering Class at Brightwater.

The program hopes to raise about $5,000 to cover the cost of food, hats, and aprons for “Cooking with Cops “participants, who are expected to take part in the event in January 2025.

The food truck will be at the Fayetteville Public 图书馆 on October 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. and at the 正规博彩平台 Bentonville campus on October 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.
